Data we process
Depending on the features you choose, we may process the following data:
- Account and profile: email address, user ID, and optional name, company, job title, country, avatar, language and preferences.
- Technical content: questions, messages, case notes, equipment references, feedback and reports you submit.
- User files: photos, documents, voice recordings and their transcriptions, only when you choose to send them.
- Location: approximate or precise foreground location only when you choose a location-based feature and grant permission.
- Subscription: plan, product, status, renewal dates and purchase-verification information. We do not receive your payment-card or bank details.
- Usage and diagnostics: app interactions, request identifiers, AI usage, app version, errors, latency, service health, IP/network data and security events.
Why we use data
- Create, authenticate and manage your account and preferences.
- Provide AI answers, technical searches, document and equipment identification, local results and saved cases.
- Verify subscriptions, enforce plan quotas and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Provide support, investigate reports, maintain security and improve reliability.
- Only with your explicit choice, use selected feedback or resolved-case knowledge to improve the service’s technical knowledge.
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
Where applicable, processing is based on performance of the service contract, your consent for optional features, our legitimate interests in security and reliability, and legal obligations.
Service providers and transfers
We disclose only the data needed to providers that operate the service on our behalf:
- Supabase: authentication, EU-hosted database and storage.
- OpenAI: AI processing, image/document analysis and voice transcription where used.
- Google and Google Play: app distribution, subscription processing and purchase verification.
- Resend: transactional account and support email delivery.
- Search and public websites: current technical, supplier, documentation or job results when a feature requires Web research.
Some providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Retention
- Account, profile and entitlement records are kept while your account is active.
- Cases and files are kept until you delete them or your account, subject to the technical and legal periods below.
- Operational request data is kept only as long as needed to provide, secure and troubleshoot the service; limited reports, feedback and aggregated usage records may be kept for up to 24 months.
- Account deletion requests are normally completed within 30 days. Limited security logs and backup copies may remain for up to 90 days.
- Purchase, fraud-prevention, tax or dispute records may be retained for the period required by law.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We use authentication, access controls and restricted administrative access. No system is completely secure, but we review and limit access according to operational need.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent for optional processing. Contact us at the address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL or your local data-protection authority.
Deleting the app or your account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription; cancel it separately in Google Play.
Age and children
The service is designed for adult engineering professionals and is not intended for children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
This website
This public information site stores only your language preference in your browser. It does not use advertising cookies or create a user account.
Changes
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The current version and its update date will remain available on this page.
